1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines what is and is not permitted on VemoRide. It protects all users and ensures the platform remains safe, professional, and legally compliant.
2. General Rules
- Use VemoRide only for its intended purpose: renting and listing vehicles.
- Be honest and professional in all interactions.
- Respect the rights, property, and safety of others.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
3. Content Standards
All content you upload (photos, descriptions, messages, reviews) must:
- Be accurate and not misleading.
- Not contain hate speech, threats, or harassment.
- Not contain sexually explicit material.
- Not infringe copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property.
- Not advertise competing services.
4. Vehicle Standards
- Listed vehicles must be roadworthy, clean, and as described.
- Insurance must be current and valid.
- Vehicle registration must be current.
- No vehicles subject to outstanding finance disputes or legal holds.
5. Communication Rules
- Keep all booking-related communication on VemoRide until after the trip.
- Do not share personal contact information (phone numbers, email addresses) in messages before booking.
- Do not use messaging to spam, advertise, or solicit.
- Do not use abusive, threatening, or discriminatory language.
6. Prohibited Activities
- Using vehicles for any illegal purpose (smuggling, unlicensed taxi services, etc.).
- Subleasing vehicles to third parties without the partner's written consent.
- Tampering with odometers, GPS devices, or vehicle security features.
- Smoking in vehicles unless explicitly permitted by the partner.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Exceeding the vehicle's passenger capacity.
- Taking vehicles outside Nigeria without prior agreement.
- Using fake or stolen identity documents.
- Manipulating reviews, ratings, or booking data.
7. Enforcement
- Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination.
- Severe violations (fraud, safety threats) result in immediate termination without warning.
- We may report illegal activity to law enforcement.
- Decisions can be appealed through VemoRide Support within 14 days.
8. Reporting Violations
If you observe a violation of this policy, report it immediately through VemoRide Support or by emailing abuse@vemoride.com. Reports are reviewed within 48 hours.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as needed. Material changes are communicated via email or in-app notification.
